I attended a workshop taught by my friend, Kathy Swift. She encouraged us to explore ourselves in the workshop and create a self portrait. She showed us many different styles of portraits and facilitated some discussions in which we explored ourselves. I decided to create this work in the style of Modigliani to express my thoughtful and meditative side.
