Mixed Media / Collage Framed

This mixed media collage is part of a series of between 25 and 30 similar works. They were created by selecting images that reminded me in some way of the topic that I had selected for the painting. Then, I cut these images into small shapes, usually triangles, and pasted them onto a sheet of paper. After that, I mounted them on masonite and painted a border around the collage. I also painted over top of the collages.This painting is called Angels in Our Midst. I did not intend a painting about angels, but they seemed to appear in the painting.
